Ideal Protein Protocol is a medically supervised weight loss program that helps you drop significant amounts of weight quickly. It includes four phases that strategically balance carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake to help you reach and then maintain your weight loss.
The plan includes a mix of real food and Ideal Protein food products, including meals, meal replacement shakes, drinks, and snack items.
Ideal Protein Protocol gives you access to a variety of tools, including cooking videos and recipes and exercise programs and education.
During the first phase, you’ll limit carbs and be encouraged to eat more protein to increase fat loss, while sparing muscle. You follow this part of the diet until you’ve reached your goal weight. Meals consist of Ideal Protein foods, whole proteins, and vegetables.
Phase 2 is a 14-day phase to help slowly stop your weight loss. During this phase, you reduce your intake of Ideal Protein foods and eat more whole protein. This phase works on teaching you how to incorporate real food back into your diet.
Phase 3 of the Ideal Protein Protocol is similar to Phase 2 in that you’re working on stopping the weight loss and adding more whole protein foods back to your diet, while reducing Ideal Protein foods.
As the maintenance portion of the program, Phase 4 may be the most important. It’s a 12-month structured diet plan that teaches you how to eat and maintain your new, healthy weight.
In addition to a structured meal plan that helps you drop the weight quickly, Ideal Protein Protocol at Capital Women’s Care includes one-on-one health coaching. That means you have someone supporting and cheering you on as you lose the weight.
The macronutrient distribution of the long-term weight loss program also helps control hunger and cravings, which may help prevent overeating.
Additionally, the 12-month maintenance program ensures success.
Ideal Protein Protocol is safe for women with type 2 diabetes, and the weight loss benefits may help improve your blood sugar levels and reduce your need for medication.
The team at Capital Women’s Care also offer a slightly modified program for women with type 1 diabetes.
