Dr. Tyan's extensive training sets him apart. After earning his medical degree (MD), he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University. He then pursued an elite fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of North Carolina, one of the top-ranked Ob/Gyn programs in the nation. He also holds a Master’s degree in clinical research from the highly esteemed University of North Carolina's Gilling’s School of Global Public Health.

Specializing in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Tyan is dedicated to offering the most advanced and effective treatment options for his patients. Dr. Tyan has established himself as a referral source for complex pelvic sugrery within the community. He has delivered exceptional surgical care for thounsands of patients needing care for endometriosis, fibroids, or other complex gynecologic conditions. He maintains a busy surgical practice of upwards of 300 surgeries per year.  

Dr. Tyan is widely recognized as one of the nation’s top Ob/Gyn physicians. He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters, and his work has been cited more than 250 times by the scientific community. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Diplomat of both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Dr. Tyan is at the forefront of his field.
